Come take a look inside Áras
an Uachtaráin.
This fine house was originally built as a hunting lodge
in 1751, but it has changed a lot since then and has
received many interesting visitors!
Originally built in the mid 18th century as a modest
house, it was expanded afterwards. It was the home
of the British Viceroys in Ireland for 150 years, then
the Governors General (Queen's representative in Ireland)
and since 1938 it has been the official residence of the Presidents
of Ireland.
